Hey, everyone. Today is a very exciting day for me. I have some very cool news to share with you. And we are gonna be celebrating. My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend and it just so happens that this is also the birthday, the official birthday, the one-year birthday of YOUNGTECH. My company was launched a year ago, and I’m so excited for what this next year has in store. So here we go.
So just a quick recap to give you a little bit of an insight into what I’ve been up to, the projects that I’ve been doing in the last year. I can’t even begin to tell you how honored and grateful I am for the amazing clients that I’ve had the privilege of working with over the last 12 months. Most of you know I left full-time employment about a year ago, started my own business and have been just blown away by the responsiveness and the welcoming of the partners and clients that I’ve been able to work with in the last year. So I’ve been doing a number of different projects from being a strategic advisor for different customers who leverage me as their virtual CTO, and also very heavily engaged in the end-user computing community with things… Various technologies from Citrix, Microsoft, VMware, NVIDIA and of course all the infrastructure virtualization and cloud players.
Some of the most exciting projects that I’ve been a part of represents some amazing teams. The clients that I’ve been working with have been absolutely top-notch. Some of the top talent from around the globe working on some pretty tough projects, tough initiatives, tough goals, tough objectives; things that they’ve been chartered to accomplish. Give you just a little quick highlight of a couple of them, so that you have a better insight into where my focus area has been and as you’re out there working with different clients and partners, perhaps my skill set and what I’ve been doing in the last year aligns with some things that you might be looking for or your clients might be looking for.
So just a couple quick highlights: The vast majority of the last year has been tied up with two large scale implementations of the VMware Workspace ONE solution. One was for a healthcare organization that currently has 14,000 Horizon RDSH sessions delivered using a virtual infrastructure platform in their data center. Really exciting project, couldn’t have accomplished some of the things that we’ve done this year without that team’s amazing effort. The other one is a soup to nuts Workspace ONE deployment that includes the AirWatch components, which is Workspace ONE UEM, Identity Manager, which is now known as Workspace ONE Access, all the way into the data center with Horizon for virtual apps and desktops.
I’m also very excited with some of the partners and the extended team that I’ve been working with to execute on a number of other projects with clients around Citrix cloud implementations, both in Azure and AWS. Two different clients have engaged YOUNGTECH to help with their initiatives in the public cloud arena, as well as strategic advisory services for some organizations that are going through some transformations around governance regulation and needed some assistance architecting their next generation infrastructure platform for the future.
I’m currently engaged with a couple other customers, as I mentioned, as their strategic advisor, helping with various infrastructure platform upgrades, like Microsoft Active Directory upgrades, Exchange to Office 365 migrations, as well as a handful of other architectural, engineering and construction firms. I found that given my skill set in the end-user computing space combined with NVIDIA virtual graphics in GPU that there’s actually quite a need in the AEC space to help organizations create a virtual workspace powered by GPUs. Those are some of the most exciting projects that I’m tackling and have been tackling in the past, and will continue to work with clients going forward.
If any of these projects sound like something that is of interest to you, or you have a prospective client that would benefit from working with my team here at YOUNGTECH, please do reach out. Again, I’m so grateful, I’m so thankful and honored for all of my clients and partners that have come along of side of me in this first year to help champion YOUNGTECH and bring it through its first year of business. Happy birthday, YOUNGTECH. And thanks so much for watching. Have a great week.
